Morning walk, Kachauri aur Chai

Morning walk, Kachauri aur Chai

When we were in school, my dad, my elder sister and I used to wait for Sundays so that we could get up late and relax the whole day. My mom used to have a totally different agenda for Sundays. She would start cleaning and dusting of the house right from the start of the day. We three, on the other hand would want to sleep till late. Mom would wake us up very early and would push all three of us out of the house and would instruct us to go for a walk. We had no choice but to step out of the house and follow orders.

While we would go for a walk, there was a chai kachori shop on the roadside at the corner of the park. Our sole motivation for our Sunday jogs was this very chai kachori shop. We would somehow take a round of the park and land at the chai kachori shop to order our favourite masala chai and kachori. Dad and us, we so much loved this Sunday morning moment which we secretly enjoyed without our mom getting to know about it. Although our dad is no more amongst us, I still cherish those fun moments that we have shared on Sundays with chai, kachori and morning walks.
